I’m also proud to be a member of the National Elks Lodge since 2015.
HELLO.
Thanks for visiting my site.
Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of working on some of the world’s most iconic brands at some of its most recognized agencies. I believe there's humanity in every business problem, and that KPIs favor the brave.
I've lead global business across several categories - from brand positioning to POS - and managed creative departments of writers, designers and art directors, on both the agency and client side.
I have a proven track record for pitch-winning creative on brands such as the NHL on ESPN, Fanatics (huge sports fan) and Novartis Pharmaceutical to name a few. I’ve also had my work recognized by award shows such as Cannes, One Show, D&AD, The Clios and Art Director’s Club.
Additional highlights in no particular order:
- Hearing Chuck D read my script aloud. (Even writing this sentence gives me chills.)
- Becoming Global CD for Quiksilver & Roxy… six months before they declared bankruptcy.
- The ESPN ESPY’S tagline: "The best stories of the year, all told in one night."
- Helping WDCW win Ad Age "Small Agency of the Year."
- Making Michael Rubin cry. (Good tears, I think?)
- Being named a One Show Judge three times.
- Writing origin stories for video game characters in “Butter Royale,” a family friendly alternative to Fortnite.
- Helping the Jazz & Heritage Foundation raise money for the musicians of New Orleans and the Mississippi Delta, with a shoutout from The Today Show.
- The Polk Audio tagline: “What Better Sounds Like.”
- Recording voice-over with Michael Madsen.
- Working on the first (only?) commercial to feature both Messi and Ronaldo.
- Standing in the middle of 100,000 Dutch fans as they cheered the "Bloed Oranje" film during the World Cup semi-finals.
- A 5-1 record in sports-related pitches, with my only loss coming internally, for Olympic figure skating. Still stings.
- Making VCU Brandcenter’s "Notable Alumni" list, Creativity Magazine.
- Going almost an entire shoot without visiting Craft Services.
- Winning $50 for naming a pizza at Vinnie’s Pan Pizza in Milburn, NJ.
Ultimately, I feel very lucky to do something I love for a living. In addition to writing, doodling and watching televised sports, I also love airports, Slurpees, and cartoon pigs. My favorite Beatle was George, my favorite Rolling Stone was Charlie. My favorite rapper is a long discussion with no real conclusion.
